Mick Oxley has been painting now for seven years. Based in the Northumbrian sea-side village of Craster, a location which serves as inspiration for much of his work.

Mick's current body of work covers two main themes: Watercolour seascapes depicting the dark brooding seas of a Northumbrian winter, which over the years have become looser, more intuitive and emotive representations of the elements portrayed. Even the Backdrop for this website is an original Mick Oxley painting!
